Upon finalization of the trade, Jon Niese is set to become a Pittbsburgh Pirate. He will make $9 million this upcoming season and has club options in '17 at $10 million and '18 at $11 million. Niese has spent his entire 8 year career with the Mets. Last season he got most of his work out of the 5th spot in their rotation. He's basically an average left handed pitcher, although he has shown some promise in his career. His best seasons coming in 2012 and 2013.
